Psychotherapy Services

  • Individual Psychotherapy

    Yulia offers DBT-informed individual psychotherapy for adults and teens. Yulia will work with you to explore your life worth living goals, values, and hopes. We will collaboratively identify factors that get in the way of living the life you want and strategize for skillful living.

  • Couples Psychotherapy

    Yulia offers DBT-informed couples psychotherapy to assist partners connect more mindfully with one another. Yulia utilizes relationship mindfulness, accurate expression, validation, and collaborative problem-solving approaches in her work with couples.

  • Telehealth Psychotherapy

    Telehealth is a safe and convenient option for getting psychotherapy services at home. Yulia offers telehealth services to residents in the State of California. Yulia utilizes a HIPAA-complaint telehealth platform for patient privacy protection.

  • Family Psychotherapy

    Yulia offers DBT-informed family psychotherapy for parents and teens and assists families in identifying ineffective patterns of interaction with one another, improving effective communication, working towards collaborative problem-solving, and creating a validating home environment.

About Yulia

Yulia Fox, MA, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California, specializing in working with adults and teens with emotional dysregulation, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.

Yulia has a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marital and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Yulia is extensively trained in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Yulia has worked at various clinical settings, including a hospital-based, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for individuals with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and a school-based, community mental health agency contracted with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where she was a certified MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice) therapist for treatment of children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive behaviors. Additionally, Yulia worked as a therapist at several outpatient Comprehensive DBT treatment clinics in the Los Angeles area, one of which was Clearview Treatment Programs, where she received DBT training under Dr. Charlie Swensen, M.D. in weekly consultation groups.

Yulia is comprehensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech and has also trained in DBT for parents, couples, and families, with Dr. Alan E. Fruzzetti, Ph.D. Yulia has experience of providing Comprehensive DBT treatment and facilitating DBT skills groups for teens, parents, and adults.

Yulia is fluent in English, Korean, and Russian languages. Yulia is a LGBTQA+ allied, racial justice allied, inclusive, and collaborative therapist.

Yulia is a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT). Yulia completed a training as an Asian Pacific Islander Renewal Facilitator with Pacific Asian Counseling Services and Change Matrix, as part of Stop Anti-Asian Hate and Violence Initiative, funded by Kaiser Permanente and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. Yulia has volunteered as a LA-CAMFT Diversity Committee member and as a group facilitator of Asian American & Pacific Islander Therapists of Support Group.
